Weaving cloth is among the most sustainable behaviors human beings have inherited since the dawn of history. Since our establishment in 1909, we have always supported the progress of weaving with the most advanced technology. Today, we have achieved the delivery of the world’s largest number of cutting-edge jet looms. We have provided both considerable services and safe, high-performance looms which are easy to use, to a variety of textile markets each with different ecology and customs. We have promoted the modernization of weaving and contributed to improvement of global competitiveness of each country. We've spread our skills and knowledge, and created jobs in countries aiming to develop their textile industries, including China, India, and Southeast Asian countries.
Our jet looms efficiently and expertly produce a wide variety of textile products. These include everyday clothing, high-functioning light-weight materials for outdoor and sports activities, as well as home textiles that enrich life, such as curtains and bed sheets They produce essential medical materials such as poultices and protective clothing. Our jet looms produce safety materials for food requiring top priority on safety such as tea bags, and industrial materials which protect life such as airbags for automobiles and sheets used for disaster relief and rescue. Agricultural materials, such as cheesecloth, are also woven on our jet looms. Moreover, our jet loom weaves a base cloth to shape the blades of windmills that are attracting attention as clean energy.
In addition, prompt measures have been taken against environmental issues and efforts have been made to reduce electricity and water consumption during operation of looms. We promote the study of effluent treatment technology and recycling technology.
We are contributing to the development of sustainable textile industry with the pride and responsibility as a leading company of jet loom.

Machine Tool Attachments

Since the launch in 1937, the development of machine tool attachments has continuously provided optimal products for the demand for processing in each era. In 1968, the NC rotary table was developed for the first time in Japan, and high-precision dividing (angle positioning) in various parts processing and continuous cutting of various rapidly-evolving products were realized, thereby contributing to the production of high-quality products.
It has been used for processing parts of products for daily use which enrich the life of people and general industrial equipment such as processing of high-functioning and fuel-efficient automobile engine parts and turbo chargers, aluminum case processing of smartphones and tablets, and lens barrels (aluminum) for zoom lens of camera as well as processing of blades (vanes) for large-sized gas turbines and steam turbines in the field of energy. Moreover, in the aerospace field, the NC rotary table is used for parts processing of jet engines and combustion chamber parts of domestic rockets, as well as posture simulation device for satellites.
In the future, during the increasing movement to introduce EV in the automobile industry and promote carbon neutralization, it will become necessary to respond to new parts, materials, and new processing methods. As the only manufacturer in the world that has the lineup of 3 kinds of driving methods of BallDrive® method that is a unique driving mechanism as well as Worm Drive and Direct Drive, we are going to provide optimal products to meet various demands of customers with rich experience and a variety of products. The Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP), which has excellent characteristics, such as light weight and high strength, has been deployed to new industrial infrastructure fields, including automobile and aerospace industries as well as wind power generation and hydrogen tank. We developed several different kind of automatic processing machines for carbon fiber materials that are high-performance yet difficult to process, such as the first Automated tape laying machine for CFRP in Japan, thereby contributing to the construction of robust infrastructures and the promotion of innovation. We have already delivered equipments to the aerospace industry. In addition, we have commercialized at our company a portable slope for wheelchairs taking advantage of the characteristics of CFRP and contributed to the realization of normalization.

We integrate the know-how in manufacturing of the TSUDAKOMA Group with our core technologies such as NC rotary tables, conveyance devices, jig design, and electronic control technology to support customer’s introduction to a robot system. We promote the automation of field work, releasing workers from heavy or dangerous work, and contribute to work styles where individuals are satisfied with their own jobs.

Foundry

The Jet loom and NC rotary table, which have developed into global brands, are supported by high-grade cast iron casting frame produced at our foundry. A high-frequency induction furnace (an electric melting furnace) has been adopted and the automated manufacturing process has contributed to the reduction of CO2 emission. Moreover, the recycle ratio of "slag" that is a material for casting parts has reached 99.7%, and the amount of waste has been minimized. In addition to our products, automobile parts, joints for parts used in various facilities, infrastructure-related parts for safety measures, general industrial machines, railways, agricultural devices, devices for ships, etc. have been utilized in a variety of fields and contributed to the development of industry and the securing of safety.
